June 11, 2012 - Fearlessly Archived - Still a fun read, price & availability may have changed.
Some people wear their heart on their sleeve. We prefer to keep ours in glass. More specifically, a wine bottle. Even better, a wine glass. The heart in question is Flying Heart, a red wine that was custom-blended for us by a winemaker who knows his way around a corkscrew, if you know what we mean.
Flying Heart is a big red blend (Merlot, P.S., Zin, Syrah, Cab Sauv & Cab Franc) with a not-so-uncommon addition that may surprise you – Chardonnay. The Chardonnay adds a brightness not often found in red wines, and is a complement to the fig, jam & berry flavors that come right out to greet you with every sip. You could say Flying Heart wears its heart on its sleeve. If you wanted to. It definitely wears its value as a badge of honor. At $4.99* a bottle, it may be the red wine value of the summer.
*Alcohol availability & price may vary due to state laws, taxes, shipment fees & other such stuff. (If we could, we would.) Currently Flying Heart Red is available in most stores for $4.99 except in NM for $5.99.
